The five numbers worth checking every week
Occupancy, rent collected, amounts overdue, debt service, and open repairs — a Friday pass that fits on one screen.
A Friday pass
You do not need a dashboard that pretends to be a fund report. You need five numbers you would say out loud:
- Units occupied
- Rent collected this period
- Amounts overdue
- Debt service due
- Open repairs
Missing is allowed
If a number is estimated or missing, it should look that way. A tidy zero is worse than a blank you intend to fill.
Then stop
The point of a weekly rhythm is to end it. Record the exception, close the tab, go back to the buildings.
