First property checklist

You do not need a perfect archive to start. You need one building, one unit, one person, and one lease. The rest can arrive as you go.

1. Create the property

A property is a building or a house. Name it the way you already say it — street, courtyard, or a short nickname. Units come next.

2. Add the units

Give each unit a name a tenant would recognize: Apt 12, Studio, Ground floor. You can add meters later.

3. Add the person, then the lease

Add the tenant before you create the lease. The lease ties a person to a unit and a period. If the dates are messy, write the ones you would defend in writing.

4. Drop in the files that matter

Lease PDF, house rules, the last invoice. NT Admin is not a dump of every photo from the handover — keep the folder small enough to trust.

5. Invite the tenant

When the record is true enough, send the invite. The portal should match what you would say out loud.

The wiki walks through the same steps for landlords and tenants.
