Add a property loan
Capture lender, rate, opening balance and the payment rhythm before you record the first payment.
Before you start
Have the latest lender statement. You need the current remaining balance, the rate, and the regular payment amount.
Add a property loan
Open Finance
In the owner workspace, open Finance and choose the property the loan sits on.
Add the loan
Enter the lender name, the current remaining principal, the interest rate, and the regular payment. If a field is estimated, leave a note.
Tip: Do not invent a start date you cannot defend. Use the date on the statement in your hand.
Save and check the balance
The outstanding principal on the property should match the statement. If it does not, fix the opening balance before you record payments.
